Event Series: Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning

May 10 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Open Bible on table

Our opening Scripture reading comes from Ephesians 6:1–4, which asks, “Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long in the land.”

Our reading of the Old Testament comes from Nehemiah 3:6–14, which says, “Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah repaired the Old Gate; they laid its beams and made its doors stand with its bolts and its bars.”

Our reading of the New Testament comes from Matthew 9:9–17, where our Lord said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Our Bible study comes from Ecclesiastes 7:19–29, which says, “See, I have found only this, that God made men upright, but they have sought out many devices.”

Our congregational songs will include the following:

  • A Christian Home (HG #346)
  • Hallelu Jah! My Redeemer (HG #200)
  • Hear the Call of the Kingdom (HG #419)
  • Compassion Hymn (HG #163)
  • My Hope Is in the Lord (HG #213)

Our benediction comes from 2 Thessalonians 2:16–17, which says, “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good work and word.”

All ages are welcome to attend and participate. We have an area for parents to work with needy children as well as space for nursing mothers.
