Liberty Bible Church

Committed to the ministry of the Word of God from Northern Kentucky.

About Us

Liberty Bible Church is committed to the ministry of the Word of God through authentic relationships, so all would mature in Jesus Christ for the glory of God.

Our Name

The word liberty reminds us of these verses:

  • “And I will walk at liberty, for I seek Your precepts” (Psalm 119:45).
  • “But one who looks intently at the perfect law—the law of liberty—and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer: this man will be blessed in what he does” ( James 1:25).
  • “For you were called to freedom, brothers; only do not turn the freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve another” (Galatians 5:13).
  • “To proclaim liberty to captives” (Isaiah 61:1).

Our Practice

From the example of the first church described in Acts 2, we believe God desires to see these characteristics in our congregation:

Worship and Prayer

  • Worshipful Wonder: “And fear came upon every soul;” (Acts 2:43)
  • Praise to God: “praising God” (Acts 2:47)
  • Devotion to the Breaking of Bread: “And they were continually devoting themselves … to the breaking of bread.” (Acts 2:42)
  • Devotion to Prayer: “And they were continually devoting themselves … to the prayers” (Acts 2:42)

The Priority of the Word

  • Devotion to the Apostles’ Teaching: “And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching” (Acts 2:42)
  • Speaking God’s Word with Passion: “And with many other words he solemnly bore witness and kept on exhorting them, saying, ‘Be saved from this crooked generation!’” (Acts 2:40)
  • Quick Obedience and Testimony: “So then, those who had received his word were baptized;” (Acts 2:41)
  • Confirmation of the Truth: “and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.” (Acts 2:43)

Authentic Community

  • An Identifiable Body of Believers: “So then, those who had received his word were baptized;” (Acts 2:41)
  • Devotion to Fellowship: “And they were continually devoting themselves … to the fellowship” (Acts 2:42)
  • Meeting Each Other’s Needs: “And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were dividing them up with all, as anyone might have need.” (Acts 2:44–45)
  • Consistent Single-Mindedness: “And daily devoting themselves with one accord in the temple” (Acts 2:46)
  • Glad-Hearted Community: “and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,” (Acts 2:46)

Evangelistic Fruit

  • A Favorable Reputation with Outsiders: “and having favor with all the people.” (Acts 2:47)
  • Growth by Conversion: “And the Lord was adding to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47)

Our History

The church began meeting in February 2015 with a few key families. We met in homes for several months until we rented our first facility in Williamstown. The congregation size grew significantly in 2020, and we now meet in a larger renter space in Crittenden.

Our Leadership

Our congregation is shepherded by two men who serve as pastors, which the New Testament also calls elders and overseers (or bishops):

  • Matt Bost
  • Scot Chadwick
