Event Series: Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning

October 18 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Open Bible on table

Our opening Scripture reading comes from Psalm 130, which says, “I hope for Yahweh, my soul does hope, And for His word do I wait.”

Our reading of the Old Testament comes from Nehemiah 9:20–25, which says of God’s work toward His people in the Exodus, “You made their sons numerous as the stars of heaven, And You brought them into the land Which You had said for their fathers to enter and possess.”

Our reading of the New Testament comes from Matthew 14:1–12, which says, “At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the news about Jesus, and said to his servants, ‘This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him.’”

Our Bible study comes from Romans 11, where Paul states, “I say then, has God rejected His people? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.”

Our congregational songs will include the following:

  • LORD, from the Depths (PG #130C)
  • All the Way My Savior Leads Me (HG #172)
  • Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross (HG #273)
  • Yet Not I, but Through Christ in Me (SH #594)
  • There Is a Redeemer (HG #201)

Our benediction comes from Jude 24–25, which says, “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”

All ages are welcome to attend and participate. We have an area for parents to work with needy children as well as space for nursing mothers.
