Our opening Scripture reading comes from 1 Peter 1:17–21, which says, “He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.”

Our reading of the Old Testament comes from Nehemiah 9:32–38, where the people confess their sins, “However, You are righteous in all that has come upon us; For You have dealt in truth, but we have acted wickedly.”

Our reading of the New Testament comes from Matthew 14:22–36, which says, “And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent word into all that surrounding district and brought to Him all who were sick; and they were pleading with Him that they might just touch the fringe of His garment; and as many as touched it were cured.”

Our Bible study comes from Romans 11, where Paul warns Gentile believers, “Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off.”
