Sunday Morning

Our opening Scripture reading comes from 1 Corinthians 15:1–11, which says, “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
Our reading of the Old Testament comes from Psalm 16, which says, “For You will not forsake my soul to Sheol; You will not give Your Holy One over to see corruption.”
Our reading of the New Testament comes from Luke 24:1–8, where the angels said, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”
Our Bible study comes from Matthew 16:21–23, which records our Lord’s first telling of His impending death and resurrection in Jerusalem.
Our congregational songs will include the following:
- Hallelujah for the Cross (HG #287)
- Christ Arose! (HG #307)
- Resurrection Hymn (HG #310)
- His Robes for Mine (HG #181)
- Christ the Lord Is Risen Today (HG #312)
Our benediction comes from Hebrews 13:20–21, which says, “Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, equip you in every good thing to do His will, by doing in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”
All ages are welcome to attend and participate. We have an area for parents to work with needy children as well as space for nursing mothers.
