Sunday Morning

Our opening Scripture reading comes from Acts 2:22–24, which says of our Lord Jesus, “delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of lawless men and put Him to death. But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.”

Our reading of the Old Testament comes from Nehemiah 8:1–8, which says, “And all the people gathered as one man at the square which was in front of the Water Gate, and they said to Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses which Yahweh had commanded to Israel.”

Our reading of the New Testament comes from Matthew 13:18–23, where our Lord says, “And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.”

We will share the Lord’s Table, proclaiming His death until He comes.

Our Bible study of Israelology continues with a study in Romans 9 on God’s sovereign choice.

Our benediction comes from Hebrews 13:20–21, which says, “Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, equip you in every good thing to do His will, by doing in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”

All ages are welcome to attend and participate. We have an area for parents to work with needy children as well as space for nursing mothers.
