Sunday Morning

Our opening Scripture reading comes from Jeremiah 10:6–7, which says, “There is none like You, O Yahweh; You are great, and great is Your name in might.”
Our reading of the Old Testament comes from Ezra 10:1–8, which says, “Now while Ezra was praying and making confession, weeping and prostrating himself before the house of God, a very large assembly, men, women, and children, gathered to him from Israel; for the people wept bitterly.”
Our reading of the New Testament comes from Matthew 7:15–23, where our Lord says, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.”
We welcome Chuck Black to our pulpit with a message title “Thriving Faith in a Compromised World.” Chuck is a husband, father, grandfather, former F-16 fighter pilot, tactical combat communications engineer, inventor, elder, and author.
Our congregational songs will include the following:
- How Great Thou Art (HG #5)
- I Need Thee Every Hour (HG #416)
- Beneath the Cross of Jesus (HG #278)
- A Charge to Keep I Have (HG #420)
- He Will Hold Me Fast (HG #388)
Our benediction comes from 1 Thessalonians 3:12–13, which says, “may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you, so that He may strengthen your hearts blameless in holiness, before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.”
All ages are welcome to attend and participate. We have an area for parents to work with needy children as well as space for nursing mothers.
