DESCRIPTION:Our opening Scripture reading comes from Psalm 8\, which says\, “O Yahweh\, our Lord\, how majestic is Your name in all the earth\, who displays Your splendor above the heavens!” \nOur reading of the Old Testament comes from Nehemiah 1:1–11\, where Nehemiah was told\, “The remnant there in the province who remain from the captivity are in great calamity and reproach\, and the wall of Jerusalem is broken down and its gates are burned with fire.” \nOur reading of the New Testament comes from Matthew 8:5–13\, where our Lord says of the Roman centurion\, “Truly I say to you\, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.” \nOur Bible study comes from Ecclesiastes 5:8–20\, which says\, “Here is what I have seen to be good\, which is beautiful: to eat\, to drink\, and to see good in all one’s labor in which he labors under the sun during the few days of his life which God has given him; for this is his portion.” \nOur congregational songs will include the following: \n\nGive to Our God Immortal Praise (HG #14)\nDepth of Mercy (HG #189)\nA Debtor to Mercy (HG #186)\nBy Faith (HG #361)\nMerciful God (HG #413)\n\nOur benediction comes from Romans 15:5–6\, which says\, “Now may the God of perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus\, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” \nAll ages are welcome to attend and participate. We have an area for parents to work with needy children as well as space for nursing mothers.
